Jared Kushner’s security clearance correction is why we know about Donald Trump Junior’s meeting with the Russian Lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya.
On Saturday, the New York Times reported that Jared Kushner, Donald Trump Junior, and former Campaign Manager Paul Manafort met with Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower in order to get dirt on Hillary Clinton.
According to the the New York Times, government officials didn’t know about the meeting until after Kushner reported it on his revised security clearance form.
The New York Times is quoted as saying, “The Trump Tower meeting was not disclosed to government officials until recently, when Mr. Kushner, who is also a senior White House aide, filed a revised version of a form required to obtain a security clearance.”
